A few weekends with Quentin

I was watching carefully the opening title of Wrong Cops. Quentin Dupieux writes, directs, films, edits, and composes the music. I knew Quentin Dupieux through Mr Oizo, his music artist name, known for Flat Eric track. The first film I watched was Steak. I was captivated. It was funny to see in this film other French music artists acting, such as Kavinsky, SebastiAn and Sébastien Tellier. What attracts me in his work is his creative freedom. It's inventive, smart, funny. The writing, the photography, the set decoration, the music, everything is well thought out and executed. Even the book in Wrong, which I would love to find an edition of, this is the kind of book I love to collect. I was very impressed by the cast in Wrong Cops, Mark Burnham among them. There are different stories entwined in this film, and one of them talks about the work of making music. These parts were particularly hilarious, any artist can relate to that. Each of his films was really nice to watch. These are those I have watched so far. There are a few left I need to watch: Rubber, Au poste!, and Le daim.
