This summer, in a spacious room, with a thick curtain filtering only a fine line of light, I watched a film a day in the afternoon. I made to myself a film festival dedicated to John Carpenter. The films I had a special tenderness for were those for which he also composed the music. I found his music work particularly interesting, this art to create an atmosphere with only a few notes.
To end with an anecdote, in The Fog, the woman who runs a radio program (cool job), drives a Volkswagen Type 181 Kurierwagen, a car I would love to drive!
I watched them in this following order:
- They Live, 1988
- The Fog, 1980
- Halloween, 1978
- The Thing, 1982
- Assault, 1976
- Christine, 1983
- Big trouble in little China, 1986
- Prince of Darkness, 1987
